The beaches in general. Cala d'Or comprises five small but wonderful beaches. All of them are located far inside small bays and surrounded by cliffs on both sides. The two biggest beaches are the central Cala Gran and the northern Cala Ferrera. Cala Esmeralda is medium-sized, while Cala d'Or (like the town) and Cala Serena are small.

Hello, We love Majorca. Have done a fair few places over the years but have more recently defaulted to Cala Do'r as it is the right balance of really nice (great restaurants, not trashy) and kid friendly. We're keen to try somewhere near and similar to Cala D'or but we don't know where. We wouldn't want anywhere smaller/quieter.

Went to cala d'Or stayed in Hotel Tucan hotel was clean and staff were all lovely, food was good too enough choice for everyone, lovely wee beaches cala a gran was just around the corner & across the road Esmeralda & Ferreira about 15 min walk same to the marina had a great 10 days there.

12 years 4 months ago. Cala Dor has a lovely large open air pedestrianised area with many restaurants and bars and if the weather is good makes a great setting. The Tropical bar has tribute acts on each night and some other bars may have some form of music. There are approx. five coves around Cala Dor with Cala Gran being the central one.
